Victoria Dearman – Spring 2023

I Like Science. What Now? Victoria Dearman, an undergraduate student studying Integrative Biology at Florida Southern University, created a video titled “I Like Science, What Now?” for her outreach project. Victoria used her passion for teaching and personal experiences with choosing science careers to create this informational video to help shed light on different STEM careers.

This video specifically focuses on a conversation with a STEM coordinator, and what it is like to work in this field. Victoria hopes to encourage others to seek careers in STEM and answer questions about the field through this informational career video.

In the past, Victoria has worked with the Ocean Research and Conservation Association to get students involved with citizen science projects, volunteered at schools to provide science demonstrations and teach the scientific method, and loves teaching complex topics in relatable ways through tutoring math and science.
